Welcome to Australian Central, one of Australia’s largest, most successful and respected mutually owned financial institutions.

We understand that when it comes to selecting an organisation to help with one’s financial needs, different people look for different things.  We recognise that for some people product range and price will be most important.  For others it’s access and convenience they are after.  For some, it’s that old fashioned service and care.  Whilst for others, it’s an organisation that demonstrates a spirit of community. And let’s not forget about simple, practical, quality advice to help people make the most of their finances.  And we know that many people want a bit of everything all the time.

At Australian Central we welcome this.  We understand that everyone is different with different needs and with different goals.

And we understand that our role is to help in whatever capacity we can, after all, you are central to everything we do.

A new era
 

Australian Central has entered an exciting new era through our merger with another successful credit union, Savings & Loans, which came into effect on 1 December 2009 following member approval in November.

With 350,000 members and $7.4 billion in assets and advice under management, the new credit union has the size and strength to create a genuine, member-owned alternative to the major banks.

Although we’ll soon have a new name and logo, our commitment to members and the community remains as strong as ever.
