The Australian Central Community Lottery
The Australian Central Community Lottery is a self help scheme which, since 1984, has distributed over $5 million to not-for-profit sporting clubs, schools and pre-schools, community groups and charitable organisations in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
The Credit Union Christmas Pageant
Being a major sponsor of the Credit Union Christmas Pageant is central to giving something back to the people of South Australia. It's about the smiles on the faces of children, dressing up as clowns, fairies and spacemen, and welcoming Father Christmas to town.
Life. Be In It. Corporate Challenge
The Life. Be In It. Corporate Challenge provides an opportunity for business colleagues to pit their skills against others in a friendly, social atmosphere whilst enjoying the benefits of being active. Australian Central Credit Union has been a proud sponsor for over ten years and activities include Hockey, Run/Walk, Swimming, Lawn Bowls, Golf, Touch, and Soccer.
Australian Central Teddy Bears Picnic
Australian Central takes great pride in our involvement in the community, whatever their age may be! For over 10 years, we have been proud sponsors of the Teddy Bears Picnic. In 2009, over 6000 children and parents came to enjoy the free festivities and entertainment brought to them by the Darwin Festival and Australian Central in the Botanic Gardens.
Our Darwin branch staff are only too happy to help with the biggest picnic of the year! Children are encouraged to bring their favourite furry friend to share the day with them, with Big Ted being the biggest and most favourite friend of all the children!
Somerville
Somerville Community Services is a non-government, not-for-profit, youth, family and community welfare organisation run only in the NT. Australian Central has supported Somerville with funding for many years in order for this service to be run for those disadvantaged in our modern society.
Mt Barker Christmas Pageant
Australian Central has been a proud supporter of this Pageant since 2005. This community event has all the colour of its city counterparts, but with a special local flavour. The pageant finishes at Santa’s Cave where children can tell him their own Christmas Wish and receive a special gift bag filled with goodies! Most of the participants are Mt Barker locals including our own Mt Barker banking and advice centre staff and their families.
Australian Central School Basketball Challenge
Australian Central's Mt Gambier and Millicent Banking and Advice Centres are proud sponsors of the School Basketball Challenge, a competition played at half time during home games of the Murray Pioneers Basketball Club in the South East. The competition finishes up at the end of the year with an exciting Grand Final where Australian Central provides the teams with trophies to celebrate their win!
Unity College Pedal Prix
Australian Central's Murray Bridge Banking and Advice Centre proudly sponsors two of the Unity College Pedal Prix team bikes. 70 students from Unity College in Murray Bridge will again compete for the coveted prize of Pedal Prix champions. Teams from across the country compete over a 12 month period culminating in the biggest event of its kind to hit South Australia - the Australian HPV Super Series.
